Baghouse filter bags are important components used in dust removal equipment. These filter bags are usually made of high temperature and corrosion resistant materials such as polyester fiber, polypropylene fiber or fiberglass. Their main function is to capture particulate matter in the air, such as dust, particles, smoke, etc., thereby improving air quality and protecting the environment.

The working principle

The working principle of the baghouse filter bags is to pass the gas containing particulate matter into the dust collector, and then capture the particulate matter through surface or deep filtration of the filter bag. Generally speaking, particulate matter will be trapped on the surface of the filter bag or on the filter media inside the filter bag when the air flows through the filter bag, while the clean gas is released through the filter bag.

Baghouse Filter Bags

This type of filter bag is widely used in various industrial fields, such as cement production, steel smelting, chemical industry, etc., as well as in some specific applications, such as air purifiers in medical equipment. Choosing the appropriate filter bag material and design is crucial to improving dust removal efficiency and stable operation of the equipment.

Acrylic Filter Bags

Acrylic Filter Bag has good anti-chemical and anti-hydrolysis performances in filter bag family. It is widely used in the detergent, waste incinerators, asphalt, dance spray dryer, coal mill and power plant for dust collection.

The main advantages and features:

  • To increase system filtration capacity by 50-150% as needed without major changes to the dust collectors ;
  • System cleaning efficiency markedly increased with the effective increase of bag to bag distance;
  • Bag life extended due to significant reduction of fatigue damage to the bags due to bag to cage impact.

Aramid Filter Bags

Aramid, also known as Nomex©, is widely used in high-temperature applications because of its excellent resistance to abrasion and ability to perform at maximum continuous operating temperatures of 204°C. The aramid filter bag is a high-temperature filter bag used in pulse jet baghouse dust collectors. Compared with the other heat-resisting fabrics, Aramid is cheaper and better. Good performances of intensity. Good abrasion and folding resistance. The acid resistance of our Aramid Filter Bag is good.

FMS Filter Bags

FMS (Flumes) filter bag is one of the most common used filter bags, which has high temperature resistance. It is generally considered an environmentally friendly and cost-effective filtration solution because they effectively capture contaminants, reduce environmental impact, and extend the life of equipment.

Fiberglass Filter Bags

The fiberglass is an inorganic fiber whose main component is SiO2. It is obtained by melting the glass frit at a temperature of 1300-1600 ° C, drawing filaments from the molten state and rapidly quenching. There are two kinds of filter materials: C glass (medium-alkali glass or soda calcium silicate glass) and E glass (alkali-free glass or aluminoborosilicate glass). The most advantages of fiberglass is high temperature resistance, good dimensional stability, and high tensile breaking strength. In terms of chemical corrosion resistance, glass fiber is stable to other media except hydrofluoric acid and high temperature and strong alkali.  The fiberglass filter bag is resistant to high temperature, abrasion, water and oil.

Polyester Filter Bag

Polyester Filter Bags

Polyester filter bag is the most common materials in the filter bag family. Polyester needle felt filter bags are made of needle punched many times and properly rolled. The short fibers are laid into a fiber web, and then the fiber web is reinforced into a cloth by needles with barbs, and the fiber web is repeatedly punctured to reinforce the fibers to form a needle-punched non-woven fabric. Non-woven fabrics have no distinction between warp and weft, the fibers are messy, and there is little difference in radial and weft properties. The air permeability of the polyester filter bag is more than 50% higher than that of the ordinary calendered filter material, the surface is smooth, the air permeability is good, and the resistance is low. The dust on the surface of the polyester filter bag is easy to fall off, which prolongs the dust removal cycle and service life of the filter bag.

P84 Filter Bags

P84 filter bag is a flame-retardant, temperature-resistant and stable fiber filter material. Under the condition of 240℃, the mechanical properties of P84 polyimide fiber filter material will not change, and the maximum temperature resistance can reach 260℃. P84 fiber filter material has no melting point temperature and is naturally golden yellow. P84 polyimide fiber filter material is not a hygroscopic fiber filter material (at 65% relative humidity, about 3% water absorption).

PPS(Ryton) Filter Bags

PPS dust filter bag is also known as polyphenylene sulfide fiber bag, the physical properties of its fiber are obviously better than other high temperature resistant acid and alkali resistant filter bag products. It is a new type of thermoplastic resin material, which has the advantages of high mechanical strength, high temperature resistance, chemical resistance, non-combustibility, good thermal stability, and good electrical properties. It can maintain good filtration performance in harsh environments and achieve an ideal service life.

PTFE Filter Bags

As a high-grade product, PTFE filter bag has perfect filtration performance during water pre-treatment and post-treatment. Well-knowned as the updated version of PTFE, ePTFE is also available.

The main advantages and features:

  • To increase system filtration capacity by 50-150% as needed without major changes to the dust collectors ;
  • System cleaning efficiency markedly increased with the effective increase of bag to bag distance;
  • Bag life extended due to significant reduction of fatigue damage to the bags due to bag to cage impact.
