Weft knitting is a kind of weft knitted fabric, in which one or more yarns form loops sequentially along the transverse direction of the fabric and are arranged in series with each other longitudinally. Weft knitting can be divided into one-sided and two-sided. Weft knitted fabrics are usually knitted on various weft knitting machines with low elasticity polyester filament or profiled polyester filament, nylon filament, cotton yarn and wool yarn as raw materials, using plain knitting, variable plain knitting, rib weave, double rib weave, jacquard weave and loop weave. Weft knitted fabrics have many varieties, generally have good elasticity and elongation, soft, firm and wrinkle-resistant fabrics, strong wool type, and easy to wash and dry quickly. The main shortcomings are poor hygroscopicity, insufficient stiffness, easy to break off, crimp, chemical fiber fabric easy to fuzz, pilling, hooking.
