The concept of water filtration should be defined according to the host and guest location of water. When water is the main body, water filtration is a medium for filtering and treating other impurities. It is a filtering method for effectively separating solid and gas by dissolving water. When water is used as an object, water filtration is a method specially for water treatment. It is a method of removing suspended solids in water by means of filtering medium, so as to obtain clear water.
When water is the main body, it is divided into:
- Separation and filtration of dust and gas (mostly used in water filter and vacuum cleaner).
- Element filtration (mostly used in physical and chemical experiments).
When water is used as an object, it is divided into:
- Coarse filtration (ordinary filtration).
- Precision filtration (microporous filtration).
Coarse filtration is often used in the pretreatment of industrial water, while precise filtration is mostly used in the post-treatment process of pure water preparation.
