The following 3 cases indicate that the filter element of the vacuum pump oil mist filter needs maintenance!
1. When the pressure gauge reads in the red zone, the oil mist separator has become clogged and the filter must be replaced. If there is no oil mist separator pressure gauge, then the resistance of the oil mist separator drives the change of the motor current to measure. When the current consumed by the driving motor or the flow of the vacuum pump drops, it means that the oil mist filter of the vacuum pump is blocked and needs cleaning and maintenance. Or replace the filter element.
2. If the gas discharged from the oil mist filter of the vacuum pump contains oil, one reason is that the oil mist separator is blocked. The second reason is that the oil mist separator is damaged. At this time, the filter element must be cleaned, maintained or replaced.
3. If the pressure of the pressure gauge on the oil mist separator is lower than usual, or the drive motor consumes less current than usual, there is a possibility that the oil mist separator is damaged and the vacuum pump oil mist purifier needs to be replaced.
In addition, when the vacuum pump oil mist filter cannot be thoroughly cleaned, the blocked oil mist filter must be replaced. It is important to note that replacing the vacuum pump oil mist filter: Before replacing the oil mist filter, switch off the vacuum pump and switch off the power supply. Make sure that the vacuum pump is connected to the outside air.
