I. Characteristics of dust pollution: Industrial dust usually refers to dust-laden industrial waste gas or mechanical processes such as crushing, sieving, conveying, and blasting that occur during the processing of solid materials, or to combustion, high-temperature melting, and chemical reactions. The former dust contains dust with the same particle size and chemical composition as the original solid material, while the latter contains particles with small particle size, chemical properties and the substances that produce it have different soot. By improving the production process and combustion technology, the generation of particles can be reduced. These industrial dusts often disperse various industrial dusts that can damage the air environment of the workshop, endanger the health of the operating staff, damage the machinery and equipment of the workshop, and emit pollutants that can also cause environmental pollution. Therefore, for industrial dust treatment and industrial dust treatment, to improve the workshop’s operating air environment and prevent air pollution, it is necessary to understand the source of industrial dust and its hazards, and take various measures to carry out industrial dust treatment, so that employees’ work sites meet the health standards and environmental protection. The discharge of facilities meets the emission standards.
Second, the source of dust: Industrial dust generated due to the following aspects
1. The mechanical comminution and grinding process of solid materials, such as dust from beneficiation, refractories, crushers in the foundry, ball mills, etc.
2. The process of mixing, sieving, transporting and packaging powdery particulate materials;
3. Incomplete combustion or explosion of materials, such as the large amount of smoke and dust contained in the boiler flue gas;
Third, governance methods: Mechanical dust collector rely on mechanical force to remove dust particles from the airflow, its structure is simple, equipment costs and operating costs are low, but the dust removal efficiency is not high; electrostatic precipitator using electrostatic force to achieve dust particles and airflow Separation, there are basically two kinds of plate-type electrostatic precipitator and tube-type electrostatic precipitator, the airflow resistance of the electrostatic precipitator is small, the dust removal efficiency can reach over 99%, the initial investment of the electrostatic precipitator is relatively high, and the area is also large. Filter bag type dust collector allows dust-containing airflow to pass through the bag filter to separate and trap dust particles. The dust removal efficiency is usually 90% to 99%, but it is not suitable for temperature due to the temperature resistance of the bag filter material. High dust-containing industrial waste gas; scrubbers use liquids (usually water and organic solvents) to wash dust-laden industrial gases, which cause dust particles to collide with droplets or liquid films and be trapped, separated from the air stream, and have a dust removal efficiency of 80%~ 95%, the operating cost is high, and the absorbed waste liquid needs to be considered for recycling or for secondary treatment.
