Mechanical development

Weaving machine, the common name of the weaving machine. The earliest weaving machine was a weaving machine (called a waist machine) sitting on the ground. The method of use is to use a foot weaving machine to warp the wooden stick, the right hand to take the weft knives to tighten the weft, and the left hand is in the posture of the weft insertion lead. This type of ankle-type waist machine has no frame, one end of the winding shaft is tied to the waist, the two legs are tied to the warp beam at the other end and the fabric is tensioned, and the warp yarn is divided into two layers by the odd and even number. The heald rod lifts the warp yarn to form the shed, and the bone needle is used for weft insertion, and the weft knife beats the weft. The most important achievement of waist weaving is the use of three types of heald rods, split rods and weft cutters. Although this kind of loom seems to be very simple, it has the movement of three directions, such as opening and closing the weaving mouth, wefting left and right, and tightening before and after. It is the ancestor of modern loom.

In the production practice of weaving, people gradually created and created a diagonal looms. Its image appeared many times on the Han Dynasty portrait stone. This type of diagonal weaving machine already has a frame with a 50- or 60-degree angle of inclination across the face and the horizontal frame, and an opening device for the pedal lift. The weaving people can sit and operate together, and the hands and feet are used together. The productivity is more than 10 times higher than that of the original looms. It is the most advanced looms in the world at that time.

In the development of the modern textile industry, various forms of shuttleless looms have emerged, including rapier looms, projectile looms, air jet looms, water jet looms, multiphase looms, and magnetic weft looms. and many more. Compared with the shuttle loom, the fabric produced by the shuttleless loom has unparalleled advantages in terms of output, quality and variety. In most of the weaving fields, the shuttle loom has been replaced. This pace has been further accelerated and has been developed from developed countries. The textile industry has expanded to developing countries. From the technical development of the international shuttleless looms and the demand of the textile industry, the progress of high-speed, wide-width and serialization of air-jet looms is relatively fast, except for the wide application in the large-scale cotton industry. Weaving, jacquard and other fabrics are becoming more and more widely used, and the advantages of rapier looms, variety of fabrics, variety of fabrics, and wider range of weaving machines have become the two most popular models in the textile industry.
