Description

The advantages of aramid/nomex needle filter felt cloth mainly include high temperature resistance, dimensional stability, fire retardant, chemical corrosion resistance and good wear resistance.

  • High temperature resistance: Nomex needle-punched felt can be used in various dust collectors within 200℃, can work continuously at a temperature of 180℃, and the instantaneous working temperature can reach 220℃.
  • Dimensional stability: At a high temperature of 230℃, the expansion rate of aramid needle-punched felt is only 1%.
  • Fire retardant: It starts to decompose and carbonize at 400℃, and the limiting oxygen index (LOI) is 30. It does not spontaneously ignite or support combustion.
  • Chemical corrosion resistance: It is not easy to react with chemicals such as acids and alkalis.
  • Wear resistance: Nomex needle-punched felt also has good wear resistance and can adapt to various types of high-efficiency and high-intensity filtering work.
  • In addition, nomex needle-punched felt also has the advantages of good air permeability, high dust collection efficiency, large dust holding capacity, and long service life.

Processing and Surface Treatment

Filmedia® uses high-quality aramid fibers as raw materials, adopts international advanced standards, and uses advanced production equipment to manufacture aramid high-temperature resistant needle-punched filter felts. The aramid fiber filter material is combined with the surface layer and the base cloth layer through multiple needle punching, and then after singeing and calendering, the whole is impregnated with PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene), and then its surface is sintered at high temperature to form a dense protection membrane. Thereby greatly improving the overall performance of the filter material.
