Liquid PTFE filter bags are designed to handle extremely demanding filtration applications. PTFE needle felt is known for its excellent chemical resistance, high temperature resistance and low surface energy, making it ideal for filtering aggressive chemicals and high temperature liquids.

Description

Why choose PTFE Filter Bags?

Polypropylene filter bags, polyester filter bags and stainless steel filter bags are often used in many chemical liquid material filtration occasions. However, in some special occasions, the filter bags either do not meet the chemical compatibility or the temperature resistance is not up to standard, which often becomes a difficult problem. For example:

  • Polypropylene filter bags can withstand general acid and alkali corrosion, and the safe temperature resistance is generally controlled below 65°C;
  • Although polyester filter bags have a higher temperature resistance of more than 100°C, they are not suitable for some materials with chemical compatibility;
  • Stainless steel filter bags cannot tolerate chloride ions, and the filtration accuracy is often biased towards coarse filtration, and cannot achieve micron accuracy level.

The application of PTFE filter bags completely solves the above problems.

  • Chemical Resistance: Resistant to corrosive chemicals, oils, acids and alkalis.
  • High Temperature Resistance: The filter bags can withstand sustained temperatures up to 240°C and short-term exposure up to 260°C.
  • High Filtration Rate: The surface energy of PTFE needle felt is very low, preventing contaminants from accumulating on the filter bags.
