- Carding process.
(1) Carding workshop temperature and humidity. Excessive temperature and humidity, poor loosening, increased neps; too low temperature and humidity, easy to cause flying flowers, attached to the sliver to produce neps. Generally speaking, the carding workshop should control low relative humidity, generally in the range of 55% to 60%, so that the fiber can release moisture, increase the rigidity and elasticity of the fiber, and reduce the friction between the fiber and the needle teeth and the filling between the teeth.
(2) Clothing selection. Cylinder card clothing can generally choose 2525 x 1550 type, which is conducive to carding and transfer fibers. Doffer card clothing can generally choose 4030 * 1880 type. Appropriate dense doffer card clothing can improve the ability of doffer condensation fiber and cotton web structure. MCH45 type is generally chosen for flat card clothing. Reasonable type of flat card clothing directly affects the quality of sliver, increases the ability of holding and combing fibers, and reduces neps and impurities in sliver.
(3) Process parameters. Appropriate speed of cylinder, taker-in roller, doffer and cover can ensure smooth transfer of fibers to cylinder and reduce the damage degree of staple and fibers. Proper control of cover plate speed, small control of doffer speed, and appropriate selection of component spacing are conducive to loosening and carding of cotton layer, increasing the function of grasping, peeling and transferring fibers, and reducing neps.
In addition, we should also do a good job in the daily maintenance and maintenance of equipment to prevent back-flowering and hanging flowers.
