Dust removal in coking plants is very important, mainly to reduce the emission of smoke, dust and harmful gases generated during the production process, comply with environmental protection standards, reduce pollution to the surrounding environment, and protect the health of workers. By filtering dust, the content of particulate matter in the waste gas can be effectively reduced, reducing pollution to the atmosphere and meeting environmental emission standards.
Coking Process (Coal Charging, Coke Pushing)
Dust Characteristics: High-temperature flue gas (120-200°C), tar, sulfides, and sparks.
Coking plants produce a large amount of high-temperature flue gas during the coking process, so high-temperature resistant filter media is needed for filtration. The flue gas produced during the coking process often contains acidic and alkaline substances, so the dust removal equipment needs to have strong corrosion resistance.

01. PPS (Polyphenylene Sulfide) filter bags
- Temperature resistance: ≤160°C long-term, 190°C short-term
- Performance: Acid/alkali resistance, hydrolysis resistance, and anti-tar adhesion.

02. PTFE membrane-coated composite filter bags
- Smooth surface prevents tar buildup and improves cleaning efficiency.
- Recommendations: Add flame-retardant layers to mitigate spark risks.
- Pre-coating with lime powder extends filter life.
Gas Purification (Desulfurization, Deammoniation)
Dust Characteristics: Corrosive gases (H₂S, NH₃), high humidity.
The treatment of harmful gases such as sulfide and ammonia in coal gas is an important part of environmental protection and safety management in coking plants. In order to reduce the pollution of coal gas to the environment and prevent corrosion to equipment, these harmful gases must be effectively treated.

01. PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) filter bags
- Withstands continuous operating temperatures up to 260°C (500°F) and can reach up to 300°C (572°F).
- Performance: Resistant to strong acids/bases, condensation, and chemical corrosion.

02.P84 (Polyimide) filter bags
- Max. Operating temperature: 240℃/464℉; Ultimate temperature: 260℃/500℉.
- Performance: Oxidation resistance, ideal for high-humidity, sulfur-rich environments.
- Recommendations: Use gradient structures (e.g.PTFE base + P84 surface) for balanced strength and corrosion resistance.
Advantages of Filmedia® Filter Bags
- High-Temperature Tolerance: Covers 80°C–300°C, adaptable to complex coke plant conditions.
- Chemical Resistance: PTFE/P84 materials combat H₂S, NH₃, and other corrosive gases.
- Extended Lifespan: Membrane coating reduces clogging, increasing lifespan by 30%-50%.
