1. Do not allow water with free chlorine to come in contact with the composite membrane element under any circumstances. If this contact occurs, it will cause the performance of the membrane element to deteriorate and its performance can no longer be restored. After the piping or equipment is sterilized, It should be ensured that there is no free chlorine present in the feed water of the reverse osmosis membrane element. In the absence of determination of free chlorine, should be verified by laboratory tests. The sodium bisulfite solution should be used to neutralize residual chlorine and to ensure sufficient contact time to ensure complete reaction.
2. During the warranty period of the reverse osmosis membrane element, it is recommended that each RO membrane cleaning should be conducted in consultation with Hydeon, at least at the time of the first cleaning, Hyde’s field service personnel should be on site.
3. Avoid using cationic surfactants in the cleaning solution as this may cause irreversible contamination of the membrane elements.
