Activated carbon panel filters are used in air filtration systems to remove odors, gases, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from the air. These filters combine the functionality of particulate filtration with the adsorption properties of activated carbon, which is known for its high surface area and ability to capture gaseous pollutants.

  • Type: Pleated panel filter.
  • Frame: Galvanized steel or aluminium.
  • Filter media:  Activated carbon particles or synthetic media saturated with carbon.
  • Grids: aluminium mesh, galvanized steel mesh.
  • EN 779 Class: G3-G4.
  • Average arrestance: 80%-94%(ASHRAE 52.1-1992).
  • MERV: MERV 5-8(ASHRAE 52.2-1999).
  • Benzene absorption: ≥800 mg/g(particles),≥200 mg/g(fibers).
  • Carbon content: ≥50%.
  • Final pressure drop: (recommender) 250Pa(fibers)- 600Pa(particles).
  • Max. air flow rate: 125% of nominal air flow rate.
  • Max. operating temperature: 60℃.
  • Max. relative humidity: 80%.

Description

Benefit of Activated Carbon Panel Filters

  • Odor Removal: Effective at eliminating smells from cooking, pets, tobacco, and industrial activities.
  • VOC Filtration: Helps in removing harmful VOCs from paint, cleaning supplies, and off-gassing furniture.
  • Air Quality Improvement: Enhances overall air quality by addressing both particulate and gaseous pollutants.

Product Features

  • The filter medium is made of fibrous non-woven fabric and activated carbon powder after light processing.
  • Activated carbon powder is integrated into the fiber and has high adsorption capacity.
  • The outer frame can be designed as a galvanized iron frame or an aluminum frame.

Work Principle

Activated carbon sheet filters capture odors through a process called adsorption, where molecules attach to the outside of the surface rather than being absorbed into it. The more pores in the activated carbon, the better, which increases the surface area that contaminants can attach to as air passes through the filter.

Application of Activated Carbon Panel Filters

  • Pre-filtration of air conditioning and ventilation system to avoid ash pollution inside the system.
  • Pre-filtration of large air compressors.
  • Clean room centralized ventilation and air conditioning system and return air system to extend the service life of the back-end hepa filters.
  • The ventilation system of ordinary industrial plants, let its meet the general clean demand of air.
  • General building building air conditioning coarse dust filtration system.
