(1) Consolidation: 6-8 strips are fed into the drawing machine to make a strip. Because the thick and fine segments of each strip have the chance to coincide with each other, the unevenness of long strip segments is improved. The weight irregularity of raw strip is about 4.0%, and the weight irregularity of cooked strip should be reduced to less than 1% after merging.
(2) Drafting: the strip length is drawn to the original extent, and at the same time, the state of the fiber is improved by drafting, so that the hook and the crimped fiber are further straightened parallel, and the small cotton bundle is further separated into single fibers. After changing the drafting ratio, the quantitative determination of the cooked strips is effectively controlled to ensure that the weight deviation and the weight unevenness of the spun yarn meet the national standards.
(3) Mixing: The single fibers are further mixed by repeated coalescence to ensure the evenness of the cotton blending components and the stability of yarn quality. Because of the different dyeing properties of various fibers, strips made of different fibers can be combined on drawing machine to make all kinds of fibers fully mixed. This is an effective means to ensure that the number of fibers on the cross section of yarn is evenly mixed and to prevent color difference after dyeing, especially in the blending of chemical fibers and cotton.
(4) Stripping: The regular loops of the strip made by the drawing machine are placed in the strip barrel for handling and storage for use in the next process.
