The purification mechanism of low-temperature plasma technology consists of two aspects: First, in the process of generating plasma, the high frequency generated by high-frequency discharge will open up the chemical energy of some harmful gas molecules, which will be decomposed into simple atoms or harmless molecule. Second, the plasma contains a large number of high-energy electrons, positive and negative ions, excited-state particles and strong oxidizing free radicals.  These active particles collide with some odor molecules to make the odor molecules in an excited state under the action of an electric field. When the energy obtained by the odor molecule is greater than the binding energy of the molecular bond energy, the chemical bond of the odor molecule is broken, and is directly decomposed into a single atom or a harmless gas molecule composed of a single atom. At the same time, a large amount of active radicals such as ·OH, ·HO2, ·O, and O3, which are extremely oxidizing, chemically react with harmful gas molecules to finally produce harmless products.

The purification of low temperature plasma also has significant biological effects. The electrostatic action that occurs on the surface of microorganisms such as bacteria and viruses is greater than the surface tension of the cell membrane, causing damage to the cell membrane and death of microorganisms. Therefore, the low temperature plasma deodorization technology has excellent disinfection and sterilization effects.

In summary, the low-temperature plasma technology can not only purify the air, but also disinfect and sterilize, so that the air is maintained in a natural and fresh state. This is unmatched by any other technical method.
