In 2020, the scale is not less than 250 billion. Waste incineration power generation is highly valued by the state.
Waste incineration power generation is in line with “harmless, reduced, and resourceful”, and has been developed in China for more than 20 years, both in equipment and technology.
Due to the tremendous pressure of increasing domestic waste and the environmental pollution caused by simple landfill, the state requires that county-level cities should establish waste incineration power generation projects during the 13th Five-Year Plan period. The number of projects is expected to be no less than 100.
Statistics show that as of 2017, the cumulative installed capacity of waste incineration power generation in China is about 7.3 million kilowatts, and there are 339 waste incineration power generation projects. The annual power generation is about 37.5 billion kilowatt hours, and the annual waste disposal capacity exceeds 100 million tons. From January to June 2018, about 50 new waste incineration power generation projects were signed, which is enough to confirm the rapid development of China’s domestic waste incineration power generation industry.
