Flat air filters are commonly used in HVAC systems, automotive engines, and industrial air filtration applications. These filters are designed to trap airborne particles, including dust, pollen, and other contaminants, improving air quality.

  • Frame Material: Galvanized Sheet, Stainless Steel, Aluminum Sheet.
  • Filter Media: Fiberglass, Polyester or Synthetic Fiber, Cotton, Activated Carbon, Electrostatic Media, HEPA (High-Efficiency Particulate Air) Material.
  • Size: Customized.

Description

The frame of flat air filters is made of aluminum alloy or galvanized steel, and the bracket is made of high-strength cold-drawn aluminum wire. The filter structure is firm and not easy to deform. The outer frame and bracket can be reused. The future maintenance only needs to replace the filter element, which greatly reduces the operating cost.
It uses non-woven fabrics, glass fibers, synthetic fibers and other filter materials, which are compounded with metal wires or embedded in metal skeletons or double-sided wire frames to form a panel structure to prevent deformation due to excessive wind pressure.

Filter Media and Performance

Material Properties Applications Advantages Limitations
Fiberglass Made from fine, spun glassfibers. Lowefficiency. Basic residential HVAC systems. Inexpensive, lightweight. Poor at trapping small particles, low efficiency.
Polyester/Synthetic Fiber Woven or bonded synthetic fibers. Higher efficiency than fiberglass. Residential, commercial HVAC, automotive filters. Durable, effectivefor smallerparticles, pleatable formore surfacearea. More expensive, needs regular replacement.
Cotton Natural fiber, often woven or bonded. Some residential, industrial filters. Environmentally friendly, reusable in some cases. Less effective for fine particles compared to synthetics.
Activated Carbon Carbon granules combined with fiber. Absorbs odors and VOCs. Areas with strong odors or chemicals (e.g., kitchens). Odor removal,VOC absorption. Requires frequent replacement, higher cost.
Electrostatic Media Synthetic fibers with electrostatic charge that traps fine particles. Residential, commercial HVAC for improved air quality. Can capture fineparticles, reusableoptions available. Requires washing to maintain effectiveness.
HEPA Material Dense layer of fibers, typically fiberglass or synthetic. Captures 99.97% of particles 0.3microns or larger. Clean rooms, medical facilities, high-efficiency purifiers, Very high filtration efficiency. Expensive, needs more frequent replace ment in high-dust environments.
