Description
Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) sewing thread is a high-performance sewing material that is leading the development of modern textile manufacturing, and its irreplaceable importance is becoming increasingly evident. As one of the three major high-performance fibers currently available, it offers excellent properties such as high strength, high modulus, low density, abrasion resistance, acid and alkali resistance, and UV resistance.
Performance
- High specific strength, high specific modulus. Specific strength is more than 10 times the same section of wire, than the modulus after the special grade carbon fiber. Its molecular weight ranges from 1 million to 5 million.
- The fiber density is low, the density is 0.97-0.98g / cm3, can float on the surface.
- Low elongation at break, breaking power, has a strong ability to absorb energy, which has a prominent impact resistance and cutting resistance.
- Anti-ultraviolet radiation, anti-neutron and γ-ray, high specific energy absorption, low dielectric constant, high transmittance of electromagnetic waves.
- Resistance to chemical corrosion, wear resistance, a longer flex life.
