Maintenance and Cleaning Methods

In fertilizer plant production environments, due to high humidity and the highly hygroscopic and corrosive nature of some dust particles, filter bags are prone to aging, sticking, or clogging. Improper handling will not only shorten the filter bag lifespan but may also reduce dust removal efficiency, increase differential pressure, and even disrupt continuous production.

To ensure long-term, stable filter bag operation, the following measures are recommended:

  • Pulse jet cleaning: This uses high-pressure compressed air to quickly remove dust adhering to the filter bag surface, maintaining air permeability and low operating resistance.
  • Regularly inspect the filter bag surface: This allows for immediate detection of dust clumping, moisture condensation, or surface hardening, allowing for drying, repair, or replacement.
  • Control cleaning frequency and pressure: This prevents damage to filter bag fibers caused by excessive cleaning and dust accumulation caused by insufficient cleaning.
  • Preventive maintenance: In high-humidity or corrosive operating conditions, it is recommended to regularly replace seals and inspect the bag cage for corrosion protection to prevent secondary contamination or filter bag damage.
  • Environmental monitoring: Install a differential pressure gauge to monitor the operating status of the filter bags in real time, and determine the cleaning and maintenance cycles based on the pressure difference changes, thereby extending the overall service life of the filter bags.
