Acrylic needle felt is one of the most commonly used materials for manufacturing filter bags and is frequently employed for gas filtration ranging from ambient to medium temperatures. In the field of industrial dust removal, there exists a specific “intermediate zone”—temperatures between 120°C and 160°C, often accompanied by mild acidic corrosion—where polyester materials lack sufficient heat resistance, while PPS materials prove prohibitively expensive. Dust filter bags fabricated from acrylic needle felt serve to precisely fill this critical gap.

Description

Acrylic needle felt is a kind of fine fiber fabric using non-woven needle punching technology. The acrylic fibers are arranged in a staggered manner, the gaps are evenly distributed and large, the air permeability is good, and the chemical resistance is stable. It can not only filter normal temperature gas, but also filter medium temperature gas (150°C), it is an ideal choice for filtering acid, alkali and corrosive gases. Compared with polyester needle felt, the biggest feature of acrylic is that it has better hydrolysis resistance than polyester needle felt.

  • Excellent Air Permeability

The fabric features a smooth and uniform surface structure, allowing air to pass through بسهولة while effectively capturing dust particles. Its low tendency to clog helps maintain stable pressure drop and ensures long-term, efficient filtration performance.

  • Strong Chemical Stability

Acrylic needle felt offers good resistance to acids, alkalis, and hydrolysis, making it suitable for humid and chemically aggressive environments. This stability ensures consistent performance even in flue gases containing corrosive components, extending the service life of the filter media.

Post-treatment

Depending on specific application requirements, acrylic needle-punched felt can undergo various functional treatments.

  • Heat Setting

Heat setting is a thermal stabilization process performed under controlled temperature and tension.

  • Calendering

Calendering is a mechanical finishing process in which the fabric surface is pressed between heated rollers.

  • Singeing

Singeing involves briefly exposing the fabric surface to a controlled flame or high-temperature source.

  • PTFE Membrane Lamination

PTFE membrane lamination involves bonding a microporous PTFE membrane to the surface of the needle felt.

  • Water & Oil Repellent Treatment

This chemical finishing process applies hydrophobic and oleophobic agents to the fiber surface.

  • Anti-Static Treatment

Antistatic properties can be achieved by incorporating conductive fibers or coating with a conductive chemical coating.
