Disc filter bags are specialized filtration materials used in disc filters to separate solids from liquids. These filter bags are commonly employed in industries such as mining, wastewater treatment, and chemical processing. The filter bag is mounted onto disc segments or panels, which rotate within a slurry, enabling continuous filtration and efficient solid-liquid separation. Dewatering of mineral slurries can be achieved in a number of ways, among which disc filters account for the largest production tonnage. However, today’s high-performance rotary disc filters or hyperbaric rotary disc filters are heavily dependent on the appropriate filter bags.

Working Principle

The vacuum disc filter is a solid-liquid separation device that uses vacuum as the filtering power to separate the slurry into solids and liquids. The machine adopts advanced technologies such as filter disc guide frame guidance, variable speed stirring, back-blowing unloading, automatic centralized lubrication, etc. It is a dehydration equipment with excellent performance and reliable use.

  1. Liquid slurry flows through the filter disc surface.
  2. Solids are trapped on the outer surface of the disc filter bag.
  3. Filtered liquid passes through the fabric and exits via the core or drainage system.
  4. When the filter cake builds up, backwashing or scraping cleans the disc surface.
