Induction furnaces generate large amounts of fumes, metal dust, and waste gases during the smelting process. If not treated promptly, these will harm the environment and equipment. Therefore, bag filters are an indispensable environmental protection device in induction furnace systems, used to efficiently capture fumes, sand, and metal particles. Baghouse dust collectors rely on filter bags to achieve solid-gas separation. Dust adheres to the outer surface of the filter bags and is periodically backflushed using compressed air pulses to maintain stable filtration efficiency.

Filmedia® manufactures high-performance dust collection filter bags specifically for induction furnace dust removal systems. To meet various flue gas temperatures and operating conditions, we offer filter bags made from a wide range of fibers—including Polyester, PPS, Nomex, Fiberglass, PTFE, and more—ensuring excellent filtration efficiency and stability in low-, medium-, and high-temperature environments.

All filter bags can be customized in size, with options for different diameters, lengths, top designs, and bottom constructions to perfectly match your dust collector and achieve optimal filtration performance.

Common Materials

Aramid (Nomex) filter bags
  • Heat-resistant up to 200–220°C, offering good mechanical strength and excellent abrasion resistance.
Fiberglass filter bags
  • Withstand temperatures up to 260°C and provide outstanding dimensional stability.
P84 filter bags
  • Known for their unique trilobal fiber structure, delivering exceptional filtration efficiency for ultrafine dust. Operating temperature around 240°C.
PTFE filter bags
  • Offer the highest chemical, thermal, and corrosion resistance among all filter materials. Suitable for continuous operation under harsh conditions with aggressive gases and temperatures up to 260°C.
Polyester filter bags
  • For lower-temperature dust collection applications (<150°C). Cost-effective, stable performance.
PPS (Polyphenylene Sulfide) filter bags
  • Excellent resistance to acids, alkalis, and high-sulfur flue gas. With an operating temperature range of 160–190°C.

Filmedia® also offers a variety of blended filter bags, combining two or more high-performance fibers to achieve optimized filtration performance. These blended materials can enhance temperature resistance, improve chemical stability, increase abrasion resistance, and extend the overall service life of the filter bags.
