Description
Our filter cartridges are made of non-coated polyester fiber non-woven fabrics, which have high filtration accuracy and can easily handle tiny dust particles. The fiber filtration method can easily make the dust fall into the dust storage container, and the periodic backwashing can peel off the remaining sticky particle impurities stuck on the filter cartridge. Polyester material will neither affect the dust removal efficiency of the filter cartridge nor pollute the environment, and greatly increase the service life of the filter cartridge.
Advantages of Using Pleated Filter Cartridges in Baghouses
- More Filter Area
Pleated filter cartridges provide twice the filter area per foot of filter length, and more pleated media allows for lower filtration velocities in existing equipment, or more filtration volume at the same filtration velocity. This means you can process more air volume with your existing collector without adding additional collectors or overloading existing equipment.
- Lower Pressure Drop
Pleated filter cartridges double the amount of filter media in a baghouse, so they typically reduce the average differential pressure across the collector, assuming the same air volume. This reduction in differential pressure typically translates directly into energy savings over the life of the filter, if the fan can be adjusted accordingly due to the reduced static pressure load on the filtration system. The reduction in differential pressure also reduces the frequency of pulse cleaning required on the filter, which reduces compressed air consumption and further reduces energy consumption.
- Abrasion Resistance
The spunbond polyester media in pleated filter cartridges is very durable. Second, because pleated cartridges are designed to pack more filter media per foot of length, pleated cartridges are typically much shorter than the fiber bags they replace, leaving space in the lower half of the collector for use as a settling zone. This zone allows heavier, more abrasive dust to fall directly into the hopper rather than swirl around and damage the bottom of the bags, as dust enters the larger, more open dust collector at a lower velocity.
- Higher Filtration Efficiency
Spunbond polyester filter cartridges can reduce initial emissions by up to 50% versus regular polyester filter cartridges. Microfiber layers or PTFE coated pleated cartridges can further reduce emissions by up to 75%.
- Easy to Maintain
Last but not least, replacing fiber bags has always been a cumbersome and time-consuming process when it comes time to change filter elements. Pleated cartridges replace the bags and cages in your collector, so they are quicker and easier to change. Plus, they are typically much shorter in length than the corresponding bags and cages they replace, making them easier to operate.
