Fiber Types of PP Woven Filter Cloth

  • Filament yarn: Long and smooth, good air permeability.
  • Staple yarn: Short and rough, not good air permeability.
  • Mono-filament: High strength.

Weave Types of PP Woven Filter Cloth

  • Plain Weave: This is the simplest weave structure, with each weft thread passing through each warp thread alternately, forming a staggered grid pattern. Plain weave fabric generally has a uniform structure and high strength, making it suitable for general filtration applications.
  • Twill Weave: In twill, each weft thread alternates across two or more warp threads, creating a diagonal texture. This braided structure provides better strength and wear resistance and is suitable for filtration applications that require higher performance.
  • Satin Weave: Satin Weave has a smoother surface. Due to its interweaving method, there are fewer intersection points between the weft threads, so the surface is smoother. This kind of braided structure is usually used in situations that have strict requirements on filter materials, such as environments that require higher precision filtration.

Applications

Woven polypropylene filter fabrics are widely used in the fields of liquid-solid separation and dust removal. It is mainly used in precision chemicals, sugar, pharmaceuticals, alumina industries, etc., and is used in plate and frame filter presses, belt filters, and mixing belt filters. Filters, disc filters, drum filters, centrifugal filters and other equipment.

These industries include:

  • Grain, rice, wheat, corn seeds and other agriculture.
  • Fertilizers and other chemical products.
  • Cement, sand and other building materials.
  • Flour.
  • Sugar making.
  • Pharmaceuticals.
  • Aluminum oxide.
  • Industrial garbage bags, etc.
