Precautions for handling hygroscopic and deliquescent dust

1、It is not allowed to operate continuously regardless of whether the dust source facility is operating or not. It should be activated only when the dust source facility is activated. When dust is accumulated on the filter cloth into layers, the humid air should not be passed through. The exhaust gas of many dryers and sintering kilns is mostly high-temperature and high-humidity gas. When the operation is stopped, the temperature drops and the humidity rises, which is easy to absorb moisture.

Therefore, a small hot air generator can be installed on the dust removal equipment. In this way, when the operation of the dust source device is stopped, hot air can be sent in to keep the internal temperature of the dust collector as it is. In addition, the pre-coating method can also be used. In the case of low dust concentration and partial dust collection, you can pre-coat a layer of other powders on the filter cloth first, and only supply other powders to the pipeline at the beginning. After time, a layer of this kind of dust is attached to the filter cloth and then the wet dust is collected.

2、Use lint-free filter cloth on the surface. If a felt filter material is used, surface treatment is necessary. The selection principle is:

①Post-treatments such as surface coating and calendering can also improve wear resistance. For glass fiber filter materials, silicone oil, graphite, and PTFE resin treatments can improve wear resistance and folding resistance.

②Chemical fiber is better than glass fiber, and expanded glass fiber is better than general glass fiber. Thin, short and crimped fibers are better than thick, long and smooth fibers.

③Felt material is better than fabric. Needle punching should be used to strengthen the entanglement between fibers in the felt material. Among the fabrics, satin weave is the best, and the brushing on the surface of the fabric is also a measure to improve wear resistance.

3、The off-line cleaning operation method should be adopted. When the bag filter stops working, the dust on the surface of the filter cloth is fully removed.
