The increase in urbanization rate has doubled the pressure on waste disposal. Landfills in first-tier cities and coastal developed cities are already saturated. How to deal with more than 400 million tons of garbage in the next few years? There is only one answer: burning.

Statistics show that as of 2017, the cumulative installed capacity of waste incineration power generation in China is about 7.3 million kilowatts, and there are 339 waste incineration power generation projects. The annual power generation is about 37.5 billion kilowatt hours, and the annual waste disposal capacity exceeds 100 million tons. From January to June 2018, about 50 new waste incineration power generation projects were signed, which is enough to confirm the rapid development of China’s domestic waste incineration power generation industry.

According to the requirements of the “13th Five-Year Plan for the Construction of Urban Domestic Waste Harmless Treatment Facilities”, by the end of 2020, the municipal solid waste incineration capacity will account for more than 50% of the total capacity of harmless treatment.

Since this is  a policy-supporting industry, the market size is expected to reach 250 billion yuan in 2020, which greatly stimulated the influx of social capital.
